I’LL DROP YOU: Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag has threatened to bench a prominent player for the derby.

Erik ten Hag might make a risky lineup choice by leaving a stalwart of Manchester United out of his squad to face Manchester City.

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, is reportedly thinking of benching Casemiro for this weekend’s derby matchup with Manchester City. Even if the Brazillian star is healthy enough to participate, he might not even make the starting lineup.

Before United’s trip to Sheffield United on Saturday, Casemiro had started each game for the team in all competitions this year. He missed the match at Bramall Lane because of a minor injury he had while serving in the military.

The 31-year-old left England behind to heal in Brazil but will come back this week. Casemiro has already decided not to play in the Champions League game on Tuesday.

In the last group game against Galatasaray, he was dismissed. But the weekend may bring even worse news for the former Real Madrid player.
