Tottenham Hotspur currently have a centre-back combo in Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven that appears to be long-lasting.
Spurs fans will be pleased to see that the pair are getting along off the field as well.
Van de Ven was quick to applaud Romero’s performance on Instagram after yesterday’s 1-0 win at Luton Town.
Van de Ven captioned his story, “What a CB this guy is.”
Then Romero responded with his own story, stating, “You’re the best.”
Clearly a developing relationship both on and off the field, and one that Tottenham fans can get behind.
Spurs had numerous alarms despite their win and clean sheet yesterday.
Ange Postecoglou’s side defended admirably with 10-men but couldn’t prevent Luton from taking advantage of several great chances.
Luton were not about to take any chances, much to Spurs’ delight. And Romero and van de Ven both deserved a lot of praise, particularly the latter, who scored his first goal for Tottenham.
