A former Liverpool legend who left Anfield on a free transfer is flourishing in his brand-new environment.
In the summer transfer season, Liverpool transferred a number of players away from Anfield, with Jurgen Klopp progressively replacing the old guard with young players like Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch.
In his search for new and exciting players, Klopp released James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, and many more. Fabinho and Henderson chose to move to Saudi Arabia. The latter has teamed up with Steven Gerrard, a former teammate who currently manages in the Middle East, at Al-Ettifaq.
Roberto Firmino, who left the Reds after eight years to join Al-Ahli, later teamed up with former Premier League stars Ryad Mahrez and Allan Saint-Maximin. A third departee from Liverpool would also join the mega-bucks of the Saudi Pro League.
