How did Andre Onana perform for Cameroon on international duty last night?

Last night, Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana was in Cameroon for international duty.

According to an ESPN article from earlier this month, Andre Onana was considering not travelling to the African Cup of Nations. For the time being, he remains with the Cameroon group, taking part in friendly matches. This suggests he will not decline an invitation to play in the AFCON in January.

Onana returned to the pitch Friday night after being an unused substitute in Cameroon’s encounter against Russia last week.Cup of Nations in order to concentrate on his Manchester United form.

Andre Onana returned to Cameroon’s starting lineup in their friendly encounter against Senegal Sunday night in France.

Senegal won the game 1-0, causing Onana to endure yet another setback.

Sadio Mane, a former Liverpool forward, netted the game-winning penalty, sending Onana the wrong way from the spot.

At the very least, Onana did not concede from open play. However, it would have been healthier for his confidence if he had won.

Still, a change of location may have been beneficial to Onana’s mental state. So far, he has had a terrible time at Manchester United.

Altay Bayindir, Andre Onana’s deputy, has had a mixed international break.

He was ecstatic once Turkey qualified for Euro 2024 by placing first in their group. But he was only an unused replacement in both of their contests.

The former Fenerbahce goalkeeper has yet to make his Manchester United debut.

If Andre Onana’s form does not improve, he may be forced to retire sooner rather than later.
