When Junior Firpo might resume working out with the rest of the Leeds United team has been updated by Daniel Farke. The Whites manager revealed that the 27-year-old will resume training after the international break during his pre-game press conference on Wednesday (4 October), according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The knee ailment that kept the Dominican defender out since the beginning of the summer has healed, but he is still unable to play because of a hamstring issue.
Firpo joined Leeds from Barcelona in the summer of 2021 for a reported amount of around £12.8 million plus add-ons, and there is no denying that his presence there has caused significant division among fans. After missing a significant portion of each of his two seasons at the club due to various injuries, his tenure at Elland Road hasn’t quite gone as he had intended.
