Brazil Calls Up Inter Newcomer Following Italy Interest

Carlos Augusto was chosen by Brazil for the first time in his career, despite some absences. Italy reportedly courted the dual-nationality wingback, but he always favoured the Seleçao.

Caio Henrique, Renan Lodi, and Alex Sandro were all injured, therefore Carlos Augusto was the next in line. Coach Diniz mentioned him to O Globo

Carlos Augusto transferred from Monza to Inter on a season-long loan with an obligation to make the transfer permanent for €13M. He appeared ten times with his new team, drawing two starts. He was the most prolific wingback in Serie A in the past campaign, tallying six goals and five assists. The defender recorded six caps with U-20 Brazil in 2019.
