Inter Milan And AC Milan Are Considering Competing For Iran’s FIFA World Cup Star In January.

Inter Milan and AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing Porto and Iran forward Mehdi Taremi in January.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it.
Taremi was a player on both Inter and Milan’s radar during the summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old Iranian international’s current contract with Porto runs out at the end of June 2024.
Therefore, there was some appetite among other European teams – particularly the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri – to take advantage of Taremi’s situation by making a bid for him in the summer.
Reportedly, Porto gave Inter an asking price in excess of €25 million during the summer.
Milan also attempted to sign Taremi until the last day of the summer transfer window.
However, the Nerazzurri decided not to pursue Taremi at Porto’s asking price, instead opting to sign Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic for a far cheaper fee.
And on deadline day, the Rossoneri missed out on the Iranian. Instead, they landed Nikola Jovic, a former Fiorentina, Real Madrid, and Eintracht Frankfurt striker.
