Milan Owner Applauds Team for Performance Against Genoa

After being thrashed by Inter in the Derby, Milan responded spectacularly. They have won four consecutive Serie A games, defeating Verona, Cagliari, Lazio, and Genoa. They built a two-point lead over their competitors from across town.

The patron is said to have texted Stefano Pioli to congratulate him on the win and his fourth year on the Milan bench. The Rossoneri have relied on the group to cover for some absences. Yunus Musah and Yacine Adli’s performances attest to this.

While the Derby thrashing could have shaken most teams, they responded appropriately. They have only conceded one goal in six games, including two goalless draws in the Champions League against Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund.

The gaffer has been flexible tactically, moving on from 4-3-3 to deploy 4-2-4 or 4-2-3-1 in situations where they needed to score. Moreover, they haven’t dropped any points against the minnows. They are the only title contender to achieve that

It’s early, but what happened against Genoa sure felt like the kind of crazy thing that only happens in Scudetto-winning seasons.
