SAD NEWS: More Injuries!!!!! – David Bell is out with a knee ailment; Marquise Goodwin was added to the Browns injury report…… ……..-

Goodwin was added to the Browns injury report on Thursday as “did not practice” with an illnes

Goodwin, who missed training camp with blood clots in his lungs and leg, has only three catches for 10 yards this season with a long gain of 6. He’s one of many Browns receivers with underwhelming production in this QB-challenged season. The Browns are 30th in passing, and only one receiver has caught a touchdown pass in Amari Cooper.

If Goodwin and Bell can’t play, the Browns will be a little thin at receiver, especially with Donovan Peoples-Jones being traded to the Lions on Tuesday.

Jones (shoulder) and Wills (foot, ankle) both returned to practice on Thursday on a limited basis after sitting out Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Stefanski indicated that Jones might miss some time, so his participation would be a bonus.

“He’s dealing with something now, but I think he feels okay right at this point,” offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said. “Day to day with him, but I think he should have a chance.”

With the two tackles ailing, the Browns on Thursday signed tackle Leroy Watson of the 49ers practice squad. Watson (6-foot-5, 260 pounds) is officially in his first NFL season out of Texas-San Antonio. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Atlanta in 2022, Watson spent his rookie season and all of 2023 on the 49ers’ practice squad. He will wear No. 69.
