WalesOnline conducted its usual rule check on the inexperienced team at Cardiff City Stadium. The players’ ratings for the match are listed below.

Jak Alnwick 7 – Had very little to do but the bits he did do were very good. So comfortable with the ball and commands his box well from crosses.

Perry Ng 8 – The trusty right back had another assured performance. had a very successful early cooperation with Meite before his departure. showed up late to score his first goal of the year.

Mark McGuinness 8 – Like his sidekick Goutas, another flawless performance. He had to be both strong with and without the ball and outstanding in the air. made a strong block to stop a good chance for Oliver Rathbone.

Dimitrios Goutas 8 – Had a heated argument with Jordan Hugill but unquestionably prevailed. Good form from the defender. a strong challenge on Andre Green that got her booked

Jamilu Collins 7 – A hit and miss afternoon for the Nigerian. Some good moments down the left but also some careless moments with the ball. Better in the second half.

Manolis Siopis 6 – An uncharacteristically erratic game for the midfielder. Gave the ball away a few times and put in a bad tackle which earned him a yellow. Gifted Rathbone the ball in a dangerous area before his shot was blocked.

Ryan Wintle 7 – Had a good chance after bursting beyond the defence but it was well saved. Another decent outing.

Yakou Meite NA – Started brightly and had one sight at goal, but did himself disservice in the process and had to be substituted with an injury early on. Joe Ralls – His set-piece delivery was noticeably great, and he occasionally had nice link-up with Grant down the left. Star Man, Kion Etete 9, was very encouraging after strong showing at Ewood Park in the middle of the week.

provided Cardiff with much better starting point, and he outmuscled Cohen Bramall to score. He made excellent defensive contributions as well.

Karlan Grant – mixed outing, like Collins. made few excellent runs and few decent crosses, one of which found Etete’s head.Additionally fed Tanner for a chance, which was rejected.
