Leaked: Deal For Sporting Ace In Sight For West Ham United

West Ham are keeping an eye on the progress of Sporting and Sweden striker Viktor Gyokeres, according to 90min.

The publication reported on its website on Wednesday (8 November) that AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Brentford are also interested.

The 25-year-old, who only joined Sporting from Coventry City in the summer, has scored 11 goals in all competitions this season.

“AC Milan are closely monitoring the impressive performances of Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, sources have confirmed to 90min.

“Gyokeres is also generating interest from Borussia Dortmund, who currently top Group F in the Champions League after beating Newcastle United 2-0, while West Ham United and Brentford are keeping an eye on his progress after previously showing an interest over the summer.”

Gyokeres has immediately hit the ground running in Portugal, with the striker already in double figures for goals this season.

A total of six of his strikes have come in the league, with three coming in the Allianz Cup and two coming in the Europa League.

It seems almost impossible then that Sporting will be willing to say goodbye to their star man, particularly given how he has only just arrived at the club.

That is bad news for David Moyes and West Ham, as the London Stadium outfit could certainly do with a player of his talents.

After a strong start to the season, competing on all fronts may have caught up with the Hammers, who are now struggling to pick up wins in their various competitions.

Moreover, it is star winger Jarrod Bowen who is firing in their goals, as opposed to strikers Michail Antonio and Danny Ings.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers are waiting in line to sign a Serie A star, with a summer transfer on the cards for the player.
