News Report: Rangers starting team news vs Dundee as Nicolas Raskin injury forces change and Danilo call made

The Light Blues have defeated Hibs and Hearts in Philippe Clement’s two league games in charge as they head on the road for the first time trailing Celtic by five points

Philippe Clement has picked his Rangers starting team to face Dundee at Dens Park.

It is a first away game in the Scottish Premiership for the new Light Blues gaffer after victories over Hibs and Hearts in his first two league outings at Ibrox. His debut ended in a comfortable win over the Hibees but it was more dramatic against Steven Naismith and his troops last time out – the same team they face at Hampden in the Viaplay Cup semi-final this weekend – with skipper James Tavernier netting a 90th minute penalty leveller before Danilo sparked wild scenes at Ibrox minutes later for a dramatic win.

The result coupled up with Celtic’s dropped points at Easter Road last weekend means the gap between Brendan Rodgers’ champions and the Ibrox men sits at five points ahead of the midweek action with the table toppers also in action this evening as they host in-form St Mirren at Parkhead. Speaking ahead of tonight’s clash, Clement said: “This week, next week and next month, they are all big games and there are no easy games, so I want an ambitious squad.
