Millwall make decision on former Rangers boss Michael Beale
Michael Beale is set to miss out on a return to management just over a month after losing his job at Rangers.
Millwall now looks set to appoint Joe Edwards as their new manager, picking him ahead of Michael Beale.

Rangers pulled the trigger on the Beale era in October, sacking him after a disappointing start to the season.
Beale was heavily backed over the summer but couldn’t get the performances or results Rangers needed and demand.
Rangers moved on to Philippe Clement and Beale has been eyed for a return to management – but he appears to have missed out.
Beale has been in the mix for the Millwall job following Gary Rowett’s departure in October.

Beale has been in the mix for the Millwall job following Gary Rowett’s departure in October.
The London Evening Standard reported just a few days ago that Millwall had narrowed their search down to three choices.
Beale was one of them, rivalling Nathan Jones and Joe Edwards in the race to replace Rowett.
It now looks like Beale has missed out, with The Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel reporting that Millwall have chosen Edwards.
Edwards, 37, is a bold appointment for Millwall as this is his first senior managerial job.
Edwards previously made his way up in the Chelsea ranks as a coach before becoming Frank Lampard’s assistant at Chelsea and Everton.
Now caretaker manager of the England Under-20’s, Edwards is set to join Millwall and leave Beale gutted
It wasn’t to be for Beale here, but we can imagine that he will attract plenty of Championship interest moving forward.
The Rangers job was too big for him at this stage in his development as a coach and he couldn’t back up the talk.
Beale did though show promise as Queens Park Rangers boss and continuing to learn his trade in the Championship would be a fine move.
Millwall have gone for Edwards but other clubs will surely show an interest in Beale, and we would back him to get back on track away from the Ibrox pressure cooker.
