Good News on Injury: !!! – Aston Villa defender may return to fitness sooner – Injury Expert……

Aston Villa defender Alex Moreno may be back to first-team action from his thigh injury sooner than expected, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

Initially, the Spaniard was expected to be out until the international break at least, but Unai Emery recently issued a positive update.

Emery said that while he’s training with the team, but isn’t training completely, which means he’s still not guaranteed to play v Nottingham Forest on Sunday, 5 November.

Speaking about his injury, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “Based on what he [Emery] said, it sounds like he’s making good progress but have to wait and see how he responds to ongoing rehab.

“It seems he may be back sooner than first feared so that’s a boost for Villa.

A late fitness test appears to be on the cards but he should be back before the international break.”

Moreno himself sparked rumours that he’s going to be back in action soon as he shared images from the first-team training.

The 30-year-old appeared to have recovered but then faced a setback which saw him miss out on a few more games.

There still remains a possibility of him being in the matchday squad against Forest as he has not been categorically ruled out.
