After Leading His Country Last Night, A £12 Million Tottenham Player Left The Nation’s Media Impressed.

Ben Davies, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, led Wales to an important victory over Croatia last night, and the Welsh media praised his leadership.

Due to Destiny Udogie’s increasing prominence at left-back this season, Davies has had difficulty getting playing time at Tottenham.
Ben Davies, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, led Wales to an important victory over Croatia last night, and the Welsh media praised his leadership.

The 30-year-old was a staple under Antonio Conte, but under Ange Postecoglou, he has primarily served as a bench player.

However, Davies continues to be an important player for Wales and began last night on the left side of a back three.

The £12 million defender put on a dominant performance to help Wales defeat Croatia 2-1 and maintain their chances of earning a spot in next year’s Euros.

Davies received a seven out of 10 rating from Wales Online for his performance against Croatia on Sunday night.

The outlet lauded the defender for a “assured” captain’s performance because he didn’t make a single mistake on the night.
An assured, reassuring presence on the left side of defense the entire evening, according to the outlet. Steady showing.”

Even though Davies hasn’t often stood out for Spurs over the years, the Welshman has shown to be a reliable performer.

Due to Udogie’s outstanding play at left-back at the present, he is currently in competition for a spot in Postecoglou’s team. He is still a crucial member of the Spurs team, though, and Postecoglou has already used him from the bench many times this year.

Given that Udogie is still healthy, it is obvious that it is doubtful that Davies would rejoin the Tottenham team anytime soon.

However, the full-back will only gain from gaining some crucial playing time over the break for international play before Monday’s match between Tottenham and Fulham.
