Who could be Manchester United’s secret weapon in giving Erik ten Hag what he needs???? ??……..

Several Manchester United players, none more so than Facundo Pellistri, had a fantastic international break.

The 21-year-old earned two caps for Uruguay during their four-point 2026 World Cup qualification campaign, including a 1-0 triumph over Brazil in the early hours of Wednesday morning. It was only Marcelo Bielsa’s fourth game in charge, but the former Leeds United manager is clearly having an impact.

Pellistri is already showing signs of development under Bielsa’s tutelage, which will assist United. Erik ten Hag expects his players to attack with zeal and has stated that he wants his squad to be “the best transition team in the world.”

Few teams are more lethal in transition than a Bielsa team, and the Argentinian’s influence was palpable against Brazil, with Pellistri lavishing praise on him following the historic victory.

“The keys were intensity, not letting the Brazilian players get comfortable, and hurting them every time we had transitions,” Pellistri told ESPN. “We were driven to break that streak because we knew we could do it.” It broke, so it’s a wonderful day, we’re very delighted, and we had a great day.
