Manchester United have stated that Sofyan Amrabat and Sergio Reguilon took part in today’s training session as part of their preparations for the Premier League match at Sheffield United.

The Red Devils have had a slow start to the Premier League season, with only 12 points after eight games. Erik ten Hag will be aiming for a significant improvement in the future.

United have received a major boost ahead of Saturday’s clash at Bramall Lane, with Amrabat and Reguilon reporting for training. Amrabat played 87 minutes in the 2-1 win over Brentford, but he missed both Moroccan matches over the break due to a slight back injury.

The 27-year-old has healed sufficiently to resume training. Reguilon, who last appeared in a 1-0 win against Burnley in late September, has joined him. Amrabat came off the bench to replace him.

During the last minutes of the game at Turf Moor, the Spain international suffered a hamstring injury. He is now fully recovered from his setback and is expected to start against the Blades.

While United has confirmed great news on the duo, they have also suffered a setback. Casemiro will not play against the Blades after injuring his ankle while on international duty with Brazil.

The midfielder’s ankle was swelled during the draw with Venezuela, but he was shockingly back in the starting lineup against Uruguay. The Selecao was defeated 2-0 on the road.

On the club’s suggestion, Casemiro will now remain in Brazil for the next few days, according to United. He is likely to come to training camp early next week and might play in Copenhagen.

In Casemiro’s absence, Amrabat will most likely play at the number six position. Ten Hag now has a specialist left-back to call on thanks to Reguilon’s comeback.
