Injury update: Cody Gakpo’s injury report is provided by Liverpool ahead of Nottingham Forest, as both players are still out.

A preview of Liverpool’s injury report has been released by manager Jurgen Klopp ahead of their Europa League match against Toulouse on Thursday night (20:00 BST).

The Reds hope to win Group E for the third time in a row, which would put them one step closer to making it to the competition’s knockout stage.

Liverpool will welcome Cody Gakpo for the match against the French team. Due to a knee injury, the forward has missed the last three games. Gakpo was not put at danger because he had trained prior to the Merseyside derby triumph against Everton last Saturday. Nevertheless, after returning to full training on Sunday, the Holland international will return to the action.

Stefan Bajcetic (calf) and Thiago Alcantara (hip) are still out of commission. Andy Robertson underwent surgery in the interim to treat a shoulder injury he sustained while serving in Scotland. Although Klopp stated that the procedure went as well as it could have, he did not provide a timeline for when he would resume operations. Prior to now, Klopp acknowledged that the left-back might miss three months of action.
