Liverpool XI vs Everton: Confirmed lineup On Saturday

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch; Diaz, Jota, Salah

Andy Robertson will miss Liverpool’s Merseyside derby against Everton this weekend.

The left-back injured his shoulder while on international duty with Scotland, and there are fears that he will need surgery, which will keep him out for at least two months.

He will undoubtedly be out in the short term, which means Kostas Tsimikas will make his debut against Everton at Anfield on Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp has Diogo Jota back after suspension, but Curtis Jones is still out as he serves the second game of his three-match punishment for his red card against Tottenham.

Cody Gakpo’s fitness has been called into question as he recovers from the knee injury that has kept him out since the Tottenham game, but he was spotted in first-team training on Thursday and his availability would be a huge boost for the Reds.

Despite Klopp’s optimism that Thiago and Stefan Bajcetic would be available immediately after the international break, the derby may come too soon for them.

Darwin Nunez confessed he was battling cramp by the end of Uruguay’s triumph over Brazil on Wednesday, and with a long travel back to Liverpool, Klopp may opt to start the striker on the bench.
