A Cardiff City striker stars in the loan team’s first victory after scoring

Following their midweek Carabao Cup loss to Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City welcomed Rotherham United to the Welsh capital on Saturday afternoon as they resumed their Championship schedule. With Kion Etete header and late Perry Ng goal, the Bluebirds prevailed to make it four wins in row in the league.

For KV Kortrijk, Isaak Davies scored his second goal, giving them their first victory of the year. The Vincent Tan-owned Belgian team is suffering at the bottom of the standings after sacking their manager and bringing in Glen De Boeck in his place.

In the 2-1 victory over Cercle Brugge, Davies made favorable impression on his new manager by scoring well-taken goal. He has scored twice in five games for KVK. Sheyi Ojo, fellow Bluebirds loanee, was added late in the game for 25 minutes. Joel Bagan, who represents SV Zulte Waregem in Belgium’s second division, was substituted for 26 minutes as his team suffered 1-0 loss to Club NXT.
