Sad News: Three Players Wolves are set to lose in 2024…..

Three players are set to leave Wolves next year as it stands.

Contracts have been a real issue at Wolves over recent years.

The club were forced to cash in on captain Ruben Neves in the summer due to the possibility that he might leave the Midlands side for free next year.

Contract negotiations were also unsuccessful with Adama Traore and Joao Moutinho with the duo joining Fulham and Braga upon the expiry of their deals earlier this year.

Wolves are aiming to avoid a similar situation next year with Daniel Podence signing a contract until 2025 in September in order to keep his value.

This is despite the winger not being in the club’s plan this season after he was sent to Greek side Olympiacos on loan.

However, there are still plenty of players who are currently set to leave the club this summer.

Little has worked out for the Portuguese midfielder in recent years.

When he first signed in 2019, he came with much promise as he left Lazio with Pedro Neto.

Little has worked out for the Portuguese midfielder in recent years.

When he first signed in 2019, he came with much promise as he left Lazio with Pedro Neto.

However, his appearances for the side have been few with no manager really giving the 24-year-old a chance since Nuno’s departure.

His last appearance for the first team came back in the 2021/22 season when he came on as a late substitute in a 3-0 win against Sheffield United in the FA Cup.

The midfielder was loaned out to Portuguese side Santa Clara last season but has been plagued with injuries since.

Now the 25-year-old can be mainly found playing for the Wolves Under 21’s.

Gary O’Neil admitted that he is unlikely to find his way back into the first team before his contract expires in 2024.

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Newcastle United – Premier League

The young English midfielder has come to Wolves on loan this season from Manchester City.

Doyle has made quite the impression so far with the 22-year-old being the catalyst for Wolves’ away win to Bournemouth.

His impact off the bench against Spurs also helped push the hosts towards their eventual win at the Molineux.

However, despite having an option to buy the midfielder next summer, O’Neil’s side are yet to officially trigger the clause.

This means that, as it stands, Doyle will be returning to his parent club Man City in 2024.

It is unlikely that this situation will remain as O’Neil has continued to put more trust into the 22-year-old as the season has gone on.
