Sad News: Injury Expert issues surgery claim on Rangers defender John Souttar after he missed last five games…

Rangers defender John Souttar is unlikely to require surgery for his muscular injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert believes that he will be assessed during the international break as he has missed the last five games for Gers.

Souttar’s not had the best of times since moving to Ibrox as he’s faced multiple injury woes and they have hindered his progress at his new club.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said

It’s hard to say what it could be because we don’t have much information on it – other than being muscular.

Souttar last featured for Rangers in the UEFA Europa League against Sparta Prague and the game ended 0-0.

He picked up a yellow card in that contest but had a good outing and when fit, is the first-choice option to partner Connor Goldson.

It remains to be seen if Rangers look to sign a centre-back in the January transfer window as Ben Davies has also faced a few issues recently.
