Good News: Tyler Herro Set to Return Soon…

Following his injury in early November, Ezoic Herro has been sidelined for almost three weeks. The good news is that Herro is getting closer to making a comeback, according to Miami Herald team source Anthony Chiang:

The expectation is Herro will miss at least another week before returning to game action after his ankle was re-evaluated over the weekend.

One week is still one week, but the fact that Herro now has a somewhat definitive timetable is a crucial development for the team.

Head coach Erik Spoelstra spoke to the media after Monday’s practice and while he refused to pencil in a date for Herro’s return, the NBA champion shot-caller did hint that the 23-year-old is close.

As for next showdown, however, Herro will need to watch his team battle the Bucks from the sidelines. He will be joined by Jimmy Butler, who is also out with an ankle problem.

Bam Adebayo, who himself is dealing with a hip injury, has been cleared to play, so he will obviously need to do much of the heavy lifting for Miami.
