Game review: Cleveland Browns at Denver Broncos picks: Who will win on Sunday?..

Denver — Two of the league’s hottest teams, the Browns and Broncos, square battle on Sunday at Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High, with a 4:05 Eastern Time start. The Browns have won five of the last six games, while Denver has won four straight.

The Browns (7-3) are in a group of clubs half a game behind the Ravens for the top slot, while the Broncos (5-5) are a game behind in the AFC playoff chase.

Here are our staff picks for Sunday’s game. The Broncos were favored by 1.5 points at the time picks were requested.

Mary Kay Cabot (7-3 overall; 5-4-1 against the spread): Broncos 23, Browns 17

Browns are still in a giving mood against one of the NFL’s biggest takeaway teams, 12 in their last 3 games.

Irie Harris (6-4; 6-3-1): Browns 19, Broncos 10

The Browns defense shall carry while the offense benefits off Dustin Hopkins.

Dan Labbe (6-4 overall; 6-3-1 against the spread): Browns 19, Broncos 12

Another ugly win for the Browns as the pass rush makes life miserable for Russell Wilson and the Broncos offense.

Ashley Bastock (6-4; 5-4-1): Browns 21, Broncos 17

Denver is on a win streak, but they have a not-so-great run defense, relinquishing 5.5 yards per carry. I think the Browns will take advantage.

Jimmy Watkins (5-5; 2-7-1): Broncos 17, Browns 14

The Broncos’ defense ranks fourth with 19 takeaways this season. The Browns rank 29th with 20 giveaways and I haven’t even said the words “fifth-round rookie” or “weird road environment” yet.
