Phoenix Suns have provided the team’s final injury report before tonight’s 6 p.m. MST tip-off vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Devin Booker (right calf strain) will not play tonight for the fifth-straight game. Bradley Beal (low back spasms) will be available for the third-straight game after missing the first seven. Eric Gordon (left shoulder soreness) will miss his first game for the Suns
The two big question marks headed in were Booker and Gordon. Booker was listed as doubtful on yesterday’s injury report, while Gordon was added as questionable.
Suns’ coach Frank Vogel said that Gordon “woke up with significant soreness after last game.” He added that they went through the process of evaluating what was wrong and are hoping it’s not serious
Vogel said yesterday that Booker’s doing some light shooting and did some of the team drill work today, so he’s “getting closer.”
Booker was never listed as anything other than out before last night’s game against the Lakers, so even him being doubtful yesterday is an upgrade from that designation, pointing that things are beginning to turn in the right direction for him.
Gordon had reverted back to his role off the bench with the return of Bradley Beal. He played really well last night in Friday’s loss to the Lakers after struggling mightily on Wednesday against the Bulls.
Against the Lakers, Gordon had 13 points on 3-of-4 shooting from deep and 5-of-9 shooting overall, while also having active hands defensively and garnering three steals.
