Contract Deal: Rangers finances finally encourage Jack Butland bids in transfer twist as he sign permanent Deal under condition….

Rival clubs could be encouraged to bid for Rangers star Jack Butland after the financial results were recently posted at Ibrox, according to the Daily Record.

The newspaper shared via its print edition [22 November, pg 48] that, having highlighted in their financial reports the ongoing need to shift talent for profit, clubs could make a move.

This comes while Philippe Clement has done his best to push aside any speculation of a potential return for his goalkeeper to Birmingham City to link up with Wayne Rooney.

Butland’s prominence in this Rangers team since arriving at Ibrox in the summer when his deal with Crystal Palace expired suggests he should be one towards the bottom of the list when it comes to potentially cashing in on players in January.

The fact that he arrived for free means any money received would see Rangers turn a profit, which would be a good move for the balance sheets, but when considering his importance in the side you have to consider there are other players who could be sold.

Several players have struggled to impress at Ibrox the way Butland has, and while it may be difficult to turn a profit on underperforming stars, the money coming in which would go towards balancing the books would still be important.

Butland is simply too important to this side to contemplate selling him halfway through the season, with Rangers still keen on pushing up the table and challenging Celtic, with their Europa League campaign also of paramount importance and their goalkeeper crucial to that.
