Booker participated in the Suns’ opening-day contest, a 108-104 triumph against the Golden State Warriors on the road. However, he was not present for Thursday night’s game against the Lakers. On the road, Phoenix lost this game 100-95 even though Durant scored 39 points.Facing one another this season, as Beal’s lower back stiffness kept him out of the first two games of the year.

After being out for what the team described as “left foot soreness” during the game, it became clear that Booker was hurt during the team’s opening-night triumph over the Warriors and was suffering from a left mid-foot sprain. With this injury, Booker is projected to miss Saturday night’s home opener against the Utah Jazz, according to Jared Greenberg of NBA on TNT and NBATV. He hopes to play again on Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs.

However, Booker is scheduled to receive an MRI when the team returns home to Phoenix, so more clarity on the All-Star’s injury should be provided within the next 24 hours. As for how Suns head coach Frank Vogel feels about his star’s injury, he made it clear that Booker was not held out of the game versus the Lakers in order to get extra rest.υ
