The wait for Tottenham’s next Premier League match will undoubtedly feel interminable for supporters, as the second international break of the 2023/24 season has begun. Ange Postecoglou’s side will have to wait until Monday, October 23 for their next match after beating Luton Town last time out.
Fulham are the visitors at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and the hosts will be looking to extend their unbeaten start to the season by going nine games without a defeat in the league. With Spurs in fantastic form and lots of momentum behind them, the international break is the last thing the team needs right now, but there is regrettably nothing they can do about it.
One advantage of the international break is that it allows individuals in the treatment room to gradually regain full fitness and provides a timely boost to the head coach. The break in play will also give Postecoglou enough time to select who will replace Yves Bissouma for the Fulham game, as the Mali international is serving a one-match punishment for his red card at Luton.
