Deal Sealed: Ange Postecoglou has ideal Harry Kane replacement under his nose he could save Tottenham millions..

After a fantastic start to the season, Tottenham has gradually fallen down the Premier League rankings.

After a string of thrilling victories under Ange Postecoglou, the North London team was riding high; however, their most recent setback has left them in fifth position.

Aston Villa, led by Unai Emery, emerged victorious at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, November 26, winning 2-1.

The Midlands club moved into the Champions League places at the expense of Postecoglou’s men with the three points. It was always going to be a tough task for the hosts to get something from the game given their long list of injuries.

That long list, which includes the likes of James Maddison, Micky van de Ven, Ivan Perisic, Richarlison and Manor Solomon, among many others, may just force Postecoglou to delve into the transfer market.

There is, however, already an option right under his nose in the form of young striker Troy Parrott, who is currently on a season-long loan at Excelsior Rotterdam.

And the 21-year-old is certainly enjoying himself in the Netherlands, with Parrott netting his fourth goal in 10 Eredivisie matches against Feyenoord on Saturday (25 November). The forward also grabbed an assist as his side lost 4-2, his second in as many games.

When he moved to Bayern Munich in the summer, former Tottenham striker Harry Kane made all the news, but Postecoglou at least managed to lose fellow striker Parrott for a short while.

And given that the Republic of Ireland international would still be needed in North London, that might turn out to be a very wise choice.

Tottenham might save millions by not having to recruit a new striker if the young player is given the opportunity and seizes it.
