Tottenham continue to be linked with PSV Eindhoven starlet Johan Bakayoko.
The 20-year-old is considered one of ‘Europe’s hottest prospects‘.
He has scored 4 and assisted 13 in 25 games this season across all competitions. Overall for the Dutch club, since making his senior debut, he has 11 goals and 18 assists in 62 games.
His performances have attracted interest from a number of top clubs including Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham.
Ange Postecoglou is said to be interested in signing an attacker in January and the Belgian is one of the names being linked.
Former Spurs man Alan Hutton has now praised the youngster stating that he would improve Ange’s side.
He told Football Insider:
“I still believe if Tottenham were to get a striker like Ivan Toney it takes them to the next level.”
“I think Son has done brilliantly, but he can play in other positions as well so a centre-forward would give them more options.
“He’s very tricky, he’s got pace and power, he can score a goal, so Spurs won’t close the door.
“If there’s an opportunity to bring a player on that level into your club, it will make you better.
“I’d never turn it down if the fee was correct.”
TBH Says:
Johan Bakayoko has all the qualities to develop into a star which is why he could turn out to be brilliant long-term investment for us.
He is primarily a right-winger but can operate on either flanks. His versatility makes him an ideal Ange Postecoglou favourite player.
