Injury Expert: Suns’ Drew Eubanks exits Warriors game with ankle injury…

Drew Eubanks, the reserve big man for the Phoenix Suns, hurt his left ankle in the third quarter of Wednesday’s game at Footprint Center against the Golden State Warriors.

At 3:02 of the game, Eubanks left the game, and the Suns declared him out for the rest of it.

Phoenix went small with Kevin Durant, Keita Bates-Diop and Nassir Little in the front court initially but called on Chimezie Metu for the final seconds. Metu blocked Warriors wing Moses Moody’s buzzer-beater attempt.

Eubanks played 16 minutes and produced six points on four shots with six rebounds and three blocks.

After playing with Suns starting center Jusuf Nurkic for the Portland Trail Blazers for the better part of a year, Eubanks was signed by Phoenix during the offseason.

Throughout the season, Eubanks has participated in every game, averaging 18.4 minutes, 7.7 points, and 4.4 rebounds. Six players on the team are six feet ten inches or taller, including Durant and two-way player Udoka Azubuike.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Phoenix will play two games: a travel game against the New York Knicks on Sunday and their last In-Season Tournament group play match against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.

In the second half, Booker took a knee from Moody, fell to the ground, and winced, but he later told reporters that he was alright. Even so, Booker played 31 minutes and finished with 25 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds, almost achieving a triple-double.
