The latest story on this pursuit now comes from UOL, who say Flamengo and Atletico Mineiro have made “similar offers” for the midfielder.There is said to be a feeling on Scarpa’s part that a deal is ‘close’ for his permanent departure from Nottingham Forest. UOL claims the “hardest part” now is a deal with Tricky Trees, who have asked for €6 million for the sale. It has been reported that Atletico have offered Mineiro 4.5 million euros, and their sporting director said this week that he will not participate in the auction for him. However, they seem to have a “small advantage”, at least according to Goal Brasil. It is claimed that there are two factors attracting Scarpa there: the reduced competition for a place in the team and the presence of coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.With the player now accepting the idea of returning to Brazil, it is time for Nottingham Forest to sit down and analyze the offers that are slowly coming in for his sale.
