“Total scandal”: Mark is incensed by the Man Utd news. See More…….

Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho could face punishment from the FA for a social media post to teammate Andre Onana, with Mark Goldbridge left fuming at that possibility.

The Red Devils and FC Copenhagen engaged in a thrilling Champions League match earlier this week. Harry Maguire’s goal would separate the two teams in Erik ten Hag’s team’s crucial group match, and goalie Onana would save a stoppage-time penalty.

After the match, Garnacho took to social media to share his thoughts on what was undoubtedly a fantastic moment for the summer acquisition. Onana was shown rejoicing with his teammates in Garnacho’s social media post. The winger was urged to remove the image after realizing the racial overtones of the two gorilla emojis he had used above the photo. However, Onana has since supported Garnacho online, stating:

It is not up to anybody to decide what offends me. I understand @garnacho07’s meaning exactly: strength & power. This shouldn’t be taken any further.

According to recent reports, the FA may suspend Garnacho due to the post. In similar cases in the past, Edinson Cavani was suspended for three matches while at United in 2020 for responding to a fan, and Bernardo Silva of Man City was suspended for one match in 2019 for a “aggravated breach” of the FA’s code of conduct.

The United Stand’s Mark Goldbridge recently attacked the notion that Garnacho would be suspended, calling it “ridiculous” and stating that it would be a “disgrace” if the player was barred.
