Pre-Sheffield United, the Flying Eagles-eligible offensive midfielder practices with Manchester United’s first team.

According to alnigeriasoccer.com, Manchester United’s first team welcomed attacking midfielder Shola Shoretire to train with them ahead of their Premier League match against Sheffield United on Saturday.

United have begun preparations for the trip to Bramall Lane, and the players, led by manager Erik ten Hag, exercised at Carrington on Thursday, with Shoretire among them.

Shoretire has battled for playing time since Ten Hag took over as manager of Manchester United last summer, as he has yet to play a single game under the Dutch coach despite three first-team calls.

The academy product departed Old Trafford on a temporary deal in quest of first-team action, and he ended up at Bolton Wanderers, where he made sixteen appearances and scored his first professional goal in the second half of last season.

He was interested in returning to United on loan during the summer transfer window, but the ideal opportunity did not present itself before the window closed.

Shoretire has been a standout for Manchester United’s development squad, which he has led on many times this season, scoring three goals and contributing three assists in seven appearances across all competitions.

Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year for the 2020-2021 season was named to the 19-year-old.
