Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Federico Dimarco, according to TEAMtalk. The 25-year-old defender has been on fire over the last 18 months and has caught the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs.
Dimarco has been a part of Inter Milan since he was a toddler. He rose through the levels at the club, eventually making it to the first squad in the summer of 2015. The full-back was promoted to their first team early in his career, although he didn’t get much playing time.
He was loaned out several times until being sold to FC Sion in the summer of 2017. He returned to the Italian club a year later but was still unable to break into the first team. After his loan spell at Hellas Verona, which concluded in the summer of 2021, things began to click for him at Inter Milan.
Dimarco is a vital member of their first team at the moment. He played in 50 games last season and contributed 16 goals. The 25-year-old was on another level last season, and he has taken that form into the new season, contributing four goals in seven league appearances.
His remarkable performances have not gone unnoticed, and Manchester United is among the clubs interested in signing him. Due to defensive injuries, the Red Devils have struggled this season. Their main center-backs and left-back have both been injured. As a result, Erik ten Hag is looking for a new defender during the winter transfer window.
