Rio Ferdinand, a Manchester United star, knows a thing or two about winning Premier League titles and appears to be sold on Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur team.
The Australian manager first led Celtic to SPL domination and now has the opportunity to write another chapter in English history by ending Tottenham’s long title drought. Spurs are now top of the table, tied on points with archrivals Arsenal but with a better goal difference.
Tottenham are yet to lose a game in the Premier League this season. Several times this season, Postecoglou’s players have grabbed victory from the jaws of defeat, displaying a previously unseen winning mindset.
While some may dismiss it as a purple patch, many who know better are now speaking out in support of what appears to be the genesis of a title charge. Going all the way would end Tottenham’s 62-year wait for a league title and cement Postecoglou’s place in club history.
Ferdinand, speaking on Vibe with Five on YouTube (h/t The Mirror), wants Tottenham to win the Premier League and feels Postecoglou has altered the club’s fortunes. However, he confesses that he does not want Manchester City to win four league titles in a succession.
