In his brief time at Liverpool, Ryan Gravenberch rediscovers his passion for the game, teaching Jamal Musiala valuable lessons along the way.
Jamal Musiala’s future at Bayern Munich is now in doubt as contract negotiations are reportedly at a standstill, with Liverpool reportedly an interested party hoping to clean up the mess.
Rumors of Musiala’s dissatisfaction with his current situation and Jurgen Klopp’s ‘long-term’ interest surfaced from Germany shortly after the Reds were connected with a club-record move for another Bayern star in the form of Leroy Sane.
Inconsistent opportunities thus far this season, described as mentally having a “gnawing” impact, appear to have started to plant doubts in the 20-year-old’s mind. This afternoon, according to Christian Falk of BILD, Musiala’s agents are “currently not talking to the club [Bayern] about extending his contract” and Liverpool are “interested” in signing him.
His season was disrupted by a hamstring injury, although he has only been selected for two starting lineups in the Bundesliga in 2023–24. Three more possibilities from the bench have presented themselves; however, Musiala was forced to sit out the other game as his teammates destroyed VfL Bochum 7-0, which is a nightmarish scenario for any attack-minded person. Musiala missed two games due to fitness.
