After Robertson, Liverpool’s awful luck with injuries continues, with the Reds’ attacker out…… Confirm!

You have to feel sorry for both Scotland and Liverpool after suffering their second injury blow in a short period of time.

Ben Doak, a promising youngster, was the latest victim of the international break, according to a statement on the Scottish FA’s website: “Ben Doak and Dire Mebude will both miss out on Tuesday night through injury.”

Steve Clarke’s men will play France in a friendly match before returning to domestic football at the weekend, having already qualified for the European Championship in 2024.

The 17-year-old has impressed in pre-season and beyond this season and would have undoubtedly played a role in our upcoming Europa League group stage home encounter with Toulouse, if not our Carabao Cup clash with Bournemouth at the start of November.

We’re still waiting to hear from the club about Andy Robertson’s shoulder injury suffered against Spain – fingers crossed for good news on both fronts!
