Leeds United Make Headlines After Filing A ‘Confident’ Appeal In The Jean-Kevin Augustin Case.

Kieran Maguire, football financial expert, believes Leeds United will be confident of winning their current legal struggle over Jean-Kevin Augustin’s transfer to the club. It comes after the Whites filed second appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport, this time for the £24.5 million in salaries owing to Augustin.

“Unless they were confident they wouldn’t be wasting money on legal and appeal fees,” Maguire explained to Football Insider. “So they will have sought appropriate advice from their legal counsel, and if they believe they have a viable case, they will proceed.”

Given that we’re talking about a multimillion-pound settlement, legal fees will be substantial, most certainly in the six figures. Despite the legal fees, they will believe it is a risk worth taking.
