“We’re Doing Well,” Says One Aston Villa Player, Who Is Pleased With His Teammates’ PL Efforts.

As Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez landed in Argentina for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers, he spoke with the local media before being pounced on at the airport.

The player arrived in Buenos Aires on what is known as the “Premier League Plane,” which transports all English players.

The Aston Villa player told TyC Sports that all of his colleagues who arrived with him had been in terrific shape recently.

“We’re fine; all of the guys in the Premier League are doing well.” “We’re at a good level, and we’re going to enjoy it,” Martinez added.

Martinez landed in Buenos Aires with Cristian Romero of Tottenham Hotspur, Julian Alvarez of Manchester City, Gonzalo Montiel of Nottingham Forest, and Alexis Mac Allister of Liverpool.

They’re now all battling for a spot in the 2026 World Cup, and Martinez discussed the hurdles that lie ahead.

“Every game in the qualifications is challenging. If we stick to our guns, we shall succeed. We want to accomplish more, so we’re going to win the Copa America.”

Argentina will face Paraguay on October 12th and Peru on October 17th. They, like Brazil, have two wins in two games.

Following their Saturday draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Aston Villa enter the international break in fifth place in the Premier League.

They’ll be back in action on October 22nd against West Ham United, and they’ll be hoping their players return from international service in fine form.
