‘No chance’ – Unai Emery sent clear Aston Villa message after Man Utd plea

Darren Bent, a former striker for Aston Villa, stated that there is “no chance” Unai Emery will quit the team to join Manchester United, despite rumors that he would be a fine hire at Old Trafford.

United are now in ninth place in the Premier League, while Villa are in fifth. On Sunday afternoon, Erik ten Hag’s team was easily defeated 3-0 at home by Manchester City.

Regarding Emery’s potential departure from Villa for Manchester United, Bent told TalkSPORT, “No chance.” “At this moment, he is with a reliable football team that is moving in the right path; I’m not sure what’s happening at Man United.”

He continued, “I have no doubts that Man United is a bigger club, so you’ll get no argument from me on that point.” However, Aston Villa currently appears better and is in a more solid situation than Manchester United.

“I agree with everything that you’ve said, but all managers have ambition, and one of those will be to manage the top, top clubs in world football,” remarked presenter and Man United supporter Andy Goldstein.

In response, Bent said, “Let me ask you a question then, by your metric, do you think Eddie Howe will go from Newcastle to Manchester United right now, absolutely not?” Goldstein just said, “Yes, I do,” in response.
