Aston Villa are interested in signing Dani Ceballos, according to a report by Fichajes. They are trying to strengthen their midfield and have recently had their eye on the 27-year-old. The Premier League team is willing to give Real Madrid €30 million to sign him.
Ceballos joined Los Blancos in the summer of 2017 after rising through the ranks at Real Betis as a bright prospect. He didn’t get much game time in the first two years after joining Real Madrid. And they ended up loaning him out to Arsenal.
The Spanish international was a part of the Gunners’ setup for two years. He returned to his parent club in the summer of 2021. Even after a successful stint at Arsenal, nothing much changed, and he did not really get much game time at Real Madrid until the final phase of last season.
Carlo Ancelotti ended up giving him extended minutes last season, and the 27-year-old did not disappoint. Ceballos’s impressive performances resulted in a contract extension offer. His new contract now runs until the summer of 2027.
