Aaron Ramsey’s injury has dealt Wales a major setback in their pursuit of automatic qualification for Euro 2024. On October 15, Cymru will face Croatia in a crucial qualifier, but Cardiff City manager Erol Bulut has said that he does not anticipate the veteran to be fit for Wales.
Ramsey isn’t expected to be fit for Wales, according to Cardiff City’s boss, after their 2-0 victory against Rotherham on Saturday.”I don’t think so,” he responded. It is not possible… If it were possible, he would be present with us right now.
“It was a tear on his tendon,” he said, “where he had been injured many years prior and underwent surgery.
“We have to see how they get it healed, maybe an operation or not. We are waiting.”
Wales picked up a helpful 2-0 win over Latvia back in September, but they need a draw or win over Croatia to keep automatic qualification hopes alive in Group D.
Cymru is currently in fourth place, three points behind Turkey and Croatia, who are tied for first place.
On October 11, Wales plays a friendly match against Gibraltar before their crucial match against Croatia takes place just four days later.
