Sad News: Leeds United key star walking suspension tightrope after fourth yellow card….

Leeds United face a nervy couple of weeks with Crysencio Summerville on the brink of a suspension. The Dutch youth international has been the man of the moment for the Whites in recent weeks.

In the month of October, he notched eight goal involvements in 340 minutes of Championship football. Of those eight, five of them were goals, setting up a further three for his team-mates.

The 21-year-old had 18 shots in those five games and created three big chances for the Whites. His importance to the side can’t be understated after Daniel Farke worked his magic to keep Summerville at the club this summer, with interest from a number of Premier League teams.

However, after picking up a yellow card against Leicester City in the Whites’ 1-0 win, another yellow card would see him serve a one match ban. A goal from Georginio Rutter saw Leeds upset the apple cart and halt the Foxes impressive winning run

Summerville impressed one more against Leicester, but lacked an end product that’s been so reliable in recent weeks. He was shown a yellow card for clashing with Foxes midfielder Hamza Choudhury in the 88th minute, with both players squaring up to one another in the dying embers of the game – the combative Leicester City man was also shown a booking for his involvement in the incident

The Whites have played 15 games of the Championship season to date and the cut off point for five yellow cards and a one-match suspension is up to and including 19 games. That leaves Summerville four more games to avoid picking up another yellow card.

The cut off point for ten bookings and a two match suspension is the 37th game week of the Championship.
