Jhon Arias can prove himself for Rangers transfer in biggest game of his career
Philippe Clement will already no doubt have one eye on the January transfer window after a successful start to life in charge at Rangers over the past month.
With injuries already ravaging his squad, the Belgian has been forced to perform with a makeshift squad, but it exploded into life with a 5-0 win over Dundee last time out.
Despite that dominance, it is the final third that probably has the most question marks surrounding it with attackers likely to be targeted in the window.
So, it seemingly fits that Fluminense attacking midfielder Jhon Arias has already been linked with a move to Glasgow from South America [TeamTalk, 31 October].
The Colombian international can play through the middle as a playmaker, but also out wide if needed, and is also attracting the interest of top-level English sides.
Arias has been scouted by Rangers officials and will be playing in what has been described as the biggest game of his career on Saturday 04 November in the Copa Libertadores final against Boca Juniors.
To put this into context, this is the South American version of the Champions League, something Fluminense have never won, with Boca claiming it six times.
Imagine that for Arias, being able to be a big part of his side making history, in what could be in front of many interested scouts ahead of the window.
This kind of pressure that is no doubt on his shoulders is perfect for him to prove that he can handle the boiling bot of Ibrox every single week and the demand to win silverware.
Arias could earn himself a move to Rangers with another big performance, with the belief that he could be made available in the January window already.
This is definitely one to watch in the next 48 hours, with Arias potentially the first name through the door under the management of Clement.
