Tanguy Ndombele’s loan stint at Galatasaray may finish early in January, according to Turkish publication Star.
Ndombele joined Galatasaray on loan in the summer, with the Turkish team able to extend the agreement for a fee of €15 million (£12.8 million). Despite this, the Frenchman has only made one start for the Istanbul team this season.
A few weeks ago, the midfield player’s manager Okan Buruk acknowledged that he is “not in the best shape” and is still getting back to full health (Yenicag Gazetesi via Sport Witness).
Football reported on it.Galatasaray supporters chastised the 26-year-old for not attempting to retake the ball after it was given away during the team’s 3-1 home loss to Bayern Munich last week, according to a report published in London.
Galatasaray is reportedly “extremely disappointed” with Ndombele, who has performed “far below expectations” since his arrival, according to Star.
According to the current situation, it is unlikely that the club will use its option to purchase the midfield player.
According to the source, Galatasaray may even consider ending Ndombele’s loan period in January due to his fitness concerns.
At least Ndombele made promising stars when on loan at Lyon and Napoli before ultimately failing to live up to expectations. It appears that the midfield player has not met the necessary standards at Galatasaray from the very beginning.
I anticipate Spurs will take all necessary steps to move on with the 26-year-old permanently if the Turkish club decides to end the loan agreement in January, including perhaps terminating his contract.
