Liverpool will play Merseyside rivals Everton at Anfield in the early Premier League kickoff on Saturday.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds have had a good start to the season, sitting fourth in the Premier League table.
Liverpool is also performing well in the Europa League, having won their first two games, as well as in the Carabao Cup.
The Reds will face a struggling Everton side. The Blues are 16th in the standings, after winning two of their past three games.
Klopp’s lineup selection at Liverpool has some challenges in midfield. Thiago Alcantara and Stefen Bajcetic are both out, according to the Reds’ website.
Furthermore, Klopp is concerned about Alexis MacAllister’s late return from international duty (he played for Argentina on Wednesday morning).
Last month, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp started Mac Allister in a similar situation against Wolves, but he was replaced at halftime.
With that in mind, Klopp may aim to bring in Wataru Endo, the Reds’ summer addition, against Everton.
Dominik Szoboszlai is almost certainly going to start. He is simply that good and valuable to the Reds.
As a result, the third midfield spot is likely to be disputed by Ryan Gravenberch and Harvey Elliott.
