Wrexham set to complete the signing rangers star ahead of summer

Tom Lawrence, a Rangers star, has apparently been added to Wrexham’s list of transfer targets, and the club is prepared to bring him home.
Born in Wrexham, Wales international Lawrence made his professional debut outside of North Wales after joining Manchester United at the age of eight.

Although the 31-year-old playmaker has been in Glasgow since 2022, his contract is about to expire. He has recently enjoyed a nice return to form, winning a recall to Craig Bellamy’s Wales side.

If no extension is reached at Ibrox, free agency will be affected this summer. The Daily Mail claims that a number of clubs are considering making a move for Lawrence. That group reportedly includes Wrexham, which is run by Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, both of whom are Hollywood co-owners.
However, Burnley, Coventry, West Brom, Middlesbrough, and Blackburn will compete with them for the former Derby star. Along with Turkish team Besiktas, who are currently coached by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Lawrence’s former United U21 manager, Greek powerhouse Olympiacos and PAOK are reportedly interested.

Lawrence is well-liked in the Rangers dressing room, so further terms have not been ruled out. However, if Wrexham wins promotion to the Championship, it could be hard to resist the chance to go back to his roots.
