It has been reported how much Arsenal will pay striker Viktor Gyokeres per week should they finalise his transfer from Portuguese champions Sporting CP.
With interest dating back to his days at Coventry City, football.london understands the Gunners have acted and are putting total effort into signing Gyokeres. Talks ramped up in tandem with simultaneous negotiations over Benjamin Sesko with RB Leipzig stalling.
Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta‘s challenge will be to get Sporting to agree to the terms of a move, with it thought the Portuguese outfit are holding out for £61m up front with a further £8.6m in add-ons.

Multiplying that figure, his annual salary would be £10.4m. Over the length of the contract he is set to sign, said to be five years, that is £52m in total.
Gyokeres has scored an incredible 97 goals in 102 appearances for Sporting having joined them in 2023. The report about Gyokeres’ supposed wage demands follows on from Portuguese publication Record, who claimed themselves the striker has made a personal financial ‘sacrifice’ to help push the next step in his career forward.
It is their assertion that Gyokeres was to earn an extra €2m (£1.7m) per year than stated above, though he has actually waived this sum so that Berta can use the money as part of his transfer fee.
