Winning Galore: Suns defeat Grizzlies, 110-89…

At FedExForum on Friday, the Phoenix Suns (10-6) defeated the Memphis Grizzlies (3-12) 110-89 in the last game of each team’s group play in the NBA In-Season Tournament. Phoenix increased its tournament record to 3-1, while Memphis dropped to 0-4.

For the Grizzlies, Derrick Rose scored a season-high 17 points while shooting 8 of 9 attempts, while Santi Aldama scored 21 points. Jaren Jackson Jr. contributed thirteen points, while David Roddy finished with fourteen points off the bench. Despite being limited to six points, Desmond Bane had a career-high ten assists.

With a career-high 40 points, Devin Booker led the Suns, followed by Eric Gordon with 20 points. With 14 points apiece from Jordan Goodwin and Grayson Allen, Phoenix moved up to 3-1 in the West Group A In Season Tournament.

Phoenix finished the second quarter on a 14-0 run, leading 62–49 at the half. With 8:48 remaining, Memphis cut the advantage to six, but the Suns rallied for a 14-2 run over the following five minutes, regaining the lead with 3:53 remaining to make it 100-82.

In the fourth quarter, the Suns outscored the Grizzlies 29–16, preventing Memphis from scoring more points than they had all season and leaving the Grizzlies winless at home (0–7).

The Minnesota Timberwolves take on the Grizzlies on Sunday, November 26 at FedExForum at 5 p.m. ESPN 92.9 FM and Bally Sports Southeast will also broadcast the game.
